Spirit and the farmer's kids at the Farm at Miller's Crossing in Claverack, New York. The farm grows organic vegetables for the Flatbush Farmshare, to which we belong. We spent the day with the farmer and his family, learning how the farm runs and flowers. In the afternoon we sat in the sun on a hillside breaking open garlic bulbs and separating the cloves. The fattest ones will be planted this fall.
